Learning Outcomes

At the End of the Workshop, You Will Be Able To:

Identify and address factors contributing to reluctance to disclose in children and adolescents, including discord, strong emotions, and ambivalence;
Integrate motivational interviewing techniques to encourage truthful and complete disclosures;
Prepare and use evidence strategically when working with survivors;
Triage witnesses and structure multiple interviews to manage cases with multiple witnesses and perpetrators;
Explain the topics that need to be covered in historical cases, suspicious disclosures, and recantations;
Utilize novel and advanced memory-informed techniques to help interviewees recall details of repeated and historical events.
