Learning Outcomes

At the End of the Workshop, You Will Be Able To:

Understand and apply the foundations of effective interviewing;
Apply memory-informed, client-centered, strength-based, culturally agile, and trauma-informed best practices in interviewing;
Explain how the StepWise 360 interviewing principles and goals are important in interviewing;
Describe the dynamics of maltreatment and reporting maltreatment;
Create and use memory-informed questions;
Tailor a forensic interview for children, youth, and adults in a manner that respects individual differences;
Apply the StepWise 360 model to conduct comprehensive forensic interviews; and
Effectively analyze interviews to self-reflect and provide peers with feedback.
