ABOUT US

Our Workshops

The Forensic Practice combines evidence-based knowledge pieces with practical skills training in all of our workshops, so that participants learn why and how certain tools work. This helps them to be more deliberate and purposeful in their work.

Our Training Approach

Woman training in a workshop

We use an incremental, scaffolded, and staggered approach to training which enables participants to progress successfully from basic knowledge and skills before moving on to more advanced levels.

Our training blends combine interactive lectures with activities such as video analysis, demonstrations, group exercises, self-directed tasks, improv-based skill-building, and practice interviews with peers and actors to support diverse learning styles and increase engagement.

We limit group sizes to 24 participants with two trainers (12:1 ratio) to ensure that each person receives personalized attention, tailored feedback, and a wider range of expertise and experience. TFP trainers are skilled instructors who are also specialists in psychology, policing, social work, or forensic interviewing.
